Manufacturing and Availability
Maxim Products are manufactured to order by Fielden Metalworks Ltd. While some of our more popular items are kept in stock for immediate dispatch, most products are produced using semi-finished components that we hold in stock. This approach allows us to offer a choice of colour finishes within a relatively short timeframe.
Estimated Lead Times
Dispatch times for in-stock items is typically 1-2 working days.
Typical manufacturing and finishing timeframes for made-to-order products:
Filing cabinets & storage cabinets – 5-7 working days.
Plan cabinets and archival storage cabinetry – 20-25 working days.
Freight Options and Costs
Freight costs are calculated based on weight & volume to your required destination.
Customers can arrange their own freight if preferred. Just let us know via email that you have purchased your item for collection, and we will coordinate the dispatch with your carrier.
Delivery Areas
Our carrier delivers NZ-wide. If your freight address isn’t recognised at checkout, call us during business hours or email us for a next-business-day response, and we will organise your order.
Most of these products are quite sizable and may take 3-5 working days for delivery.
Rural or remote deliveries may take a little longer at times.
Order Tracking and Updates
Tracking details will be sent to the email address provided at the time of purchase.
Our carrier offers online track & trace services, which can be checked using the details provided at dispatch.

Receiving and Inspection
If your item arrives damaged, please inform us immediately by phone or email. Our carriers will honour a transit damage claim if we provide details within 5 working days, including reasonable particulars of the event.
If your item hasn’t arrived within 14 days of dispatch confirmation, let us know, and we will track it down or send a replacement.
Our carrier will deliver your Maxim item to the door during business hours, and you do not need to be present to receive the delivery.
Bulk, Special, or Trade Orders
Delivery arrangements for large or complex orders can be organised by emailing us.
Each order is processed separately on our website, but split shipments are possible. If you would like multiple items delivered in separate quantities, please email us after placing your online order to arrange something different.
